Frederique Constant Carree TPD Settings

The Frederique Constant Carree runs on an automatic calibre that keeps its power reserve topped up through wrist movement — or through a watch winder when it is off the wrist. Using the correct turns-per-day and winding direction keeps the mainspring in its optimal range, so the watch stays accurate and ready to wear.

Set your winder to the values below. Modern automatic movements have a slipping mainspring that prevents overwinding, so these settings are about keeping the watch optimally wound rather than avoiding harm.

Setting	Value
Turns per day (TPD)	650
Winding direction	Bi-directional

Every Tempus winder offers clockwise, counter-clockwise and bi-directional modes with programmable TPD, so the Carree's 650 TPD bi-directional requirement is fully covered — each rotor programmes independently, and every winder carries a 3-year warranty.

Winders for the Carree

Tempus 12 Biometric (£2096) — The flagship — twelve individually programmed rotors with fingerprint security, for collections that keep expanding.
Tempus 2 Biometric (£446) — A compact, secure home for two automatics — fingerprint access keeps your rotation protected, with independently programmable TPD on each rotor.
